This is impressive, and more impressive the fact i bought Minecraft once and Mojang still updating the game since then, no need to buy it again except for some other platforms.

I love games like Minecraft, games allow people to build things, modify the game, add to it many features, it keep the game alive, it builds a communities around the game.

I like to fashion a game entirely made of lockboxes. And call it Whalecraft…

“On-topic please, Uta!”

…oh right! That looks pretty neat. :)

No thanks blocky looking games are a huge turn off for me. Why i can’t stand Trove. The thing is i don’t mind some old school mmo’s with dated graphics. But these type of 8 bit looking games i just can’t stand.

Agreed, The only similar game I’ve ever liked was Dragon Quest Builders, which was super nostalgic while still having good graphics.

teh stuff you can do with minecraft mods wise is such an extreme degree of impressive it’s really astounding in a (for once) positive way.

teh mdo pack we’re using the lite version of a bigger mod pack and the depth and complexity of the progression of it all just blows my mind (and has me completely lost without the guidance of guildies experienced with it).

just vanilla minecraft with stuff like redstone has so much more depth than your typical clone wether landmark or teh thousand other identical aside from mmo bs games on steam, it’s incredible that not a single one of these would be voxel builder game developers would think to try to emulate the aspects of mc that make it stand out far above the rest of these games.

and for those that don’t care for the low quality textures, there’s plenty of free and easy to install texture packs out there to snazzy up your mc experience.

Agreed about the minblowingness of what people are doing in Minecraft. My issue with the game is that i just can’t get past the blocky nature. No amount of HD textures will “mask” the low poly count of models, and unfortunately that style just doesn’t float my boat.

Kudos to the developer of this “MMO”, and kudos to the Minecraft community that is constantly pushing the boundaries of what the game can do.

fair enough. i kind of dig the aesthetic but dislike the textures, but current mod pack has a few reskins (with effort ) of blocks i care most about that sort o fthing with that fit my bill. while having too many general custom textures to dare use an extra texture pack.
