Good news, Baptiste fans, the new healer is going to be deployed to Overwatch’s live servers within the next couple of weeks according to the most recent Q&A session. There will also be a one-week delay before he’s available for play in competitive modes, which will give players a chance to get used to the way that his abilities like Immortality Field work. And while they seem powerful, the team stresses that these are abilities that can be countered and do have limitations, chiefly being stationary and easy to destroy with focused fire.
The answers also include lore information, like confirming that Baptiste himself speaks French as well as Haitian Creole and his friendship with Sombra even now that he’s no longer with Talon.
