Here’s the problem: You want to play Stardew Valley with your friends, but you are an efficient mayo-producing expert at making profit while your friends are useless goblins who somehow manage to buy a small army of gerbils to start a gerbil-milking empire. But the 1.4 update is bringing with it a solution in the form of having separate finances and farms. This comes along with the new Four Corners map that’s perfect for having separated finances between players on the multiplayer operation.
Players in existing farms will still have shared money, but a quick trip to the mayor will allow you to change to separate finances or re-join them; new multiplayer farms can set the option at creation. Everything else remains shared, but single-player games will also have access to the new farm maps. It should provide an interesting new gameplay experience for the title, so check it out when the next patch goes live, first on PC with other versions to follow.
Hey everyone, just wanted to share this screenshot from the upcoming 1.4 update! It's a big one, & this image only reveals a fraction of what's coming.
