If you’re already hoping to roll up an adorable Shai character in Black Desert this summer, there are two things you need to know. First, she’s officially launching on June 26th. And second, you can actually create your Shai starting today and have her all set to go next week. The BDO website exploded today with news of the Shai pre-creation event and all the goodies you can pick up for jumping in early.
“Shai has a taste for all things tricky,” Pearl Abyss says. “Shai throws a powerful Florang, a boomerang-like weapon that hits enemies and always finds its way back to her. For her offhand, she has the mystical Vitclari, a small glowing orb that helps to heal and protect her allies.”
And here’s the official lore explanation for why the Shai looks young.
“Shais do not age like humans. They age considerably slower than humans of the world, and even Valentine, the oldest of the Shais, still looks like he is in his early 20’s even though he is 110 years old by the Elion Calendar! And as the years passed like a leaf floating down the river, the young Shai reached 15 by the Elion Calendar. This is a special age for Shais and marks the first test of becoming an adult.”
