We are still rubbing our eyes in disbelief that Cryptic Studios is actually investing development effort into the long-neglected Champions Online — but hey, we are not complaining, either! With more eyes on this superhero MMO due to the promise of upcoming content, this 4th of July might be more festive than it has been in a while.
Running from now through July 11th, Patriot’s Celebration aims to please both Canadian and American players who want to look extra red, white, and blue (or just red-and-white) this summer. Hey, chasing down costume pieces is more important than bad guys, right?
“This in-game event will have players queue up for the Red Winter Alert in order to fight against a team that looks to rebuild their motherland in a version of the Cold War,” Cryptic posted. “Plus, this year, Liberty Guard will have a brand new activity for you!”
