RuneScape talks banks, weapons, and player farms, OSRS talks Song of the Elves and Warding poll results

It’s a whole gaggle of RuneScape and Old School RuneScape news. Seriously, an entire, weighty gaggle. Let’s get started.

  • RuneScape has not just one, but two betas on the way in the form of the second part of weapon diversity and bank improvements. Both of these betas are hoping to arrive next week; you can get the full updates either in video form or at this handy-dandy synopsis post on Reddit.
  • Player-owned farms in RuneScape are going to see several adjustments, most of them appearing to fall on the “nerf’ side of the spectrum because player farms offer more Farming XP than other Farming pursuits. The idea is to keep player Farms the top method of skilling up but also have them require more upkeep.
  • Old School RuneScape has offered a synopsis of the first day for the Song of the Elves release. It even has important poll questions for fans to answer like what chathead to use for the NPC Elena.
  • Finally, OSRS has shared the results for the Warding poll, with a reportedly massive turnout for this particular vote. While a majority are in favor of Warding, it didn’t quite make its 75% threshold; and future details on what happens next will be shared once developer focus moves away from Song of the Elves, Last Man Standing, and RuneFest.
