If you’re having a hard time logging on to World of Warcraft — either version — today, you are not alone. Blizzard reported that all of its game services, including WoW and WoW Classic, are being hammered by DDoS attacks this evening.
“We continue to see impact from a DDoS attack resulting in degraded access to our games and services,” the studio’s CS team reported. An in-game message notes that “multiple realms” are affected by the issue which keeps kicking people out of the MMO.
DDoS attacks against World of Warcraft aren’t anything new, of course. Back in September, police arrested one hacker who was attempting to cripple WoW Classic’s then-brand-new servers.
[#Bnet] We continue to see impact from a DDoS attack resulting in degraded access to our games and services. We’ll continue to share updates as they become available. Apologies for the disruptions this is causing right now.
