Yesterday was launch day for the first chapter of Hearthstone’s latest expansion, Galakrond’s Awakening, but it arrived with an odd asterisk; the update landed on PC first and was due to arrive on mobile later that same day, but was reportedly delayed as late as today with no immediate explanation from Blizzard on what happened. Furthermore, numerous players on iOS are reporting that the update is still not available at the time of this writing.
For those who are able to play the latest update without any issue, it introduces the League of E.V.I.L. and League of Explorers’ first chapter at the Battle of the Frozen Coast. Each side of the chapter introduces a variety of unlockable cards upon completing each side of the story. Galakrond’s Awakening will arrive in a total of four chapters, with each successive one arriving on January 28th, February 4th, and February 11th respectively, though ideally those won’t be delayed for mobile users.
Players interested in seeing what they’ll be getting in terms of cards for this chapter and future chapters can look to the announcement post for their sneak peek.
