You can be a number of things in Project Gorgon, including but not limited to a fighter, a crafter, a spider, and a cow. Soon, players will be able to add “fairy” to that list of things, assuming the game’s next planned update pans out the way the devs hope it will.
A pair of tweets have rekindled the idea of playable fairies, which will be an advanced class available only to those who complete a level 40 quest in the Winter Nexus with another character. The Winter Nexus, for the record, is described as a level 40 group dungeon that players will have to survive to unlock Fairies. Fairy characters will start at level 30, so levels won’t be an issue, just “lots of new fairy-related problems to worry about instead” according to the tweet.
Readers will recall that Project Gorgon discussed this race during its crowdfunding drive in 2016, so this playable race has been slightly delayed. That said, this update should hopefully arrive in about three weeks’ time barring any unforeseen issues. More details should be coming soon.

NOTE: fairies are an advanced race that will need to be unlocked by completing a level 40-ish quest in the Winter Nexus (with a different character)!

(The Winter Nexus is a level 40 group dungeon. So you'll need to be able to survive in there to unlock fairies. New fairy characters start at level 30, though, so you won't need to re-farm the newbie island. You'll have lots of new fairy-related problems to worry about instead!)
