We had an inkling Dragon Raja was coming westward sooner rather and later, especially when it dropped on Google Play prereg last December. While it’s part of the existing Dragon Raja franchise, it’s not actually a direct successor to the popular Dragon Raja 2; it’s a mobile open-world MMORPG that’s already apparently done solid numbers in China and has already racked up 1.5M pre-registrations around the rest of the world since then.
Anyhow, today we got the official world that the game will launch in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa on February 27th, on both iOS and Android. It is indeed a UE4-based, free-to-play title promising “NPC AI smart interaction and a physics system that provides realistic collision responses” and hazards like slipping “when running on wet or icy surfaces or damage environmental objects during combat.”
“Dragon Raja presents players with dynamic and action-packed gameplay whether their focus is PvE or PvP. Featuring real-time combat players in Dragon Raja will take on various world bosses, dungeons, and battlefields as well as massive PvP battles capable of supporting up to 100 players simultaneously. Players will be able to choose from four characteristic classes to wade into battle while also being able to highly customize their character’s appearance. In Dragon Raja players will have access to thousands of fully-detailed visual combinations and looks ranging from urban to cyberpunk and everything in between. Players will also be able to create multiple in-game personas via the game’s career system.”
Stay tuned for more on the game – we’ve sent a writer in to poke around.
