The movie-watching world lost one of its greats when actor Christopher Plummer passed away on Friday, leaving behind a legacy of notable performances including Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Sir Charles Litton in The Return of the Pink Panther, and General Chang in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

It’s Plummer’s portrayal of the Klingon general that brings us to memoriams from the developers and players of Star Trek Online as people paid their respects to the actor. The game’s official Twitter offered a few words, writing, “In the hands of a lesser actor, General Chang might have been a stereotype, a one note character. But Christopher Plummer brought a gravitas and a respect to the man that defined Klingons for ages to come. Rest in peace.”

Meanwhile, players have been memorializing the actor and the character of General Chang in-game, either by gathering at the in-game DS9 memorial and on planet Qo’nos or by recreating General Chang in the character creator.
