If my time watching sandbox MMOs has taught me anything, it’s that game devs should probably stop handing players powder kegs and lighters, but here we are with Dual Universe very possibly doing just that in its next beta update, which will introduce a wallet feature for organizations to let player orgs store and transfer in-game currency.
The new wallet feature works pretty much like any guild money bank with the ability for players to transfer funds, but it also has features that let organization members with the right permission sell or buy items in the name of the org itself, drawing funds from or depositing funds into the org wallet instead of their personal funds. The wallet feature will also include a ledger of transactions that notes date, operation type, and name of the player that performed the operation. So soon, when organizations get robbed by a nefarious player, they’ll know precisely who it was.
