Gameforge begins sending out transition codes for EU Wizard101 players ahead of Gamigo takeover

During a Q4 2021 earnings call, MGI noted that Gamigo would be taking over stewardship of Wizard101 from Gameforge as part of MGI’s ownership of KingsIsle. Sure enough, Gameforge has made the first step in that transition process, handing out transition keys for EU players of the MMO via email.

The keys in question are being handed out over time and will not be available for use on KingsIsle’s website yet, so players are urged to check their spam and junk folders and not lose their key when they have received one. Once the relevant website is functioning, players will be able to use their key and get some goodies like two months of subscription benefits, a unique pet, and a unique mount. Those who don’t have a Gameforge account but are arriving to the new EU servers will get a free pet for signing up.

Timetables for all of these transitions are expected to be announced soon, but in the meantime there’s a handy-dandy web page that offers some more details.
