GLORT

Hey kids! If there are two things I know about kids your age, the first one is how you love your Pokeymans! You like all of them, like Pikachu, Charmander, Bee… pill? I think it’s pill? The red one? Girl Pikachu? That ugly thing with a fin on its head? Anyway, the other thing I know you all love is glort! You just can’t get enough of that glort! So I teamed up with Ninetendo to –

What? No. It’s Ninetendo. There are nine of them and they’re tendos. Yes, I checked.

Look, the point is I made you new Pokémon Glort!

Pokémon Glort is available to play on your telephone, Nintendo Switch, Sony PlayStation 4, yes you heard me right, Xbox Series X, what, no, that’s what the list says, well I know it doesn’t make any sense but they say it right here? Okay, fine, come into the booth! Come into the booth, Sharon, and you can see that it says all of this too! Oh, you’re not talking in the booth, they can hear your footsteps, Sharon! Right, see? Right glortin’ there

GLORT WILL RETURN IN WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING

Bonus question: What’s the most ridiculous thing you can remember having to admit to your parents that you knew you’d get in trouble for?

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Aside from the exercise games, I’m totally hooked on Splatoon 3, so that’ll get the most time I think.

Most ridiculous thing I had to admit to my parents and get in trouble for? That’s a toughy, since I learned to keep my mouth shut and hands clean very early on since I got caught red-handed a lot. The only thing I can think of was getting so mad at someone I punched their locker with my fist, creating a dent in it and creating what the doctors thought was a very small hairline fracture in my wrist, which super swelled up but they couldn’t 100% identify anything being broken. Luckily, the school could fix the locker easily without me having to pay for anything, and I just had to apologize to the guy. Oh, suffer with my wrist. That was all, as I’d already purchased a couple of books on anger management before going home and admitting anything.

Andy McAdams: Not actually sure what I’ll be playing this weekend. I’m losing some steam (pun not intended) on Guild Wars 2, so I’ll probably be meandering through my game library looking for something to capture my attention for a bit.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I’ve been sick this week – just a cold, thankfully, but colds still knock me out for weeks, so there’s no such thing as just a cold for me – but I’m hoping I’ll be well enough to do something. Maybe some Star Wars Galaxies Legends, and probably some City of Heroes.

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): I want spaceships but nothing is really slaking my want for spaceships very much, so I might dip into some backlog and see if there’s something that strikes me right. I also want to racecar so I might peer back in to Forza Horizon 5 to see if that itch is scratched. Basically, I want vehicular games.

I think one of the dumbest things I tried to get away with was when I managed to bust the top of my head into a wall. I wasn’t seriously injured but I do remember trying to hide it for a few days.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Video games. Not sure which ones, exactly. Probably not a Pokemon game. Maybe Final Fantasy XIV. We’ll see.

“Mother, I cannot tell a lie. It was me who filled up the sink to play with my toy submarine which you got really upset about when I asked you, and so then I asked my stepfather and he said it was fine, because it was fine, I didn’t splash water on the floor or anything, and you got mad at me and he stood up for me and then he talked with me and said I put him in an unfair position and I apologized to him for that. He said he understood and asked me not to do it again. My stepdad’s really cool.”
