WRUP: Glort edition

Put your mouth on a metal pan. Open your mouth. Open your mouth and place it on a metal pan. Do not heat the pan first. That could hurt you. That will hurt you. Put your mouth on cold metal. Cold, cold metal. Put your mouth on a cold metal pan. Open your fridge and place both yourself and the cold metal pan in the fridge so you get even colder and your mouth is on the pan and now it’s cold and someone is yelling at you about why you are making a mess and holding the fridge open. Why are you doing this?

Why are any of us doing anything. What Are You Playing this weekend, glort or something, I don’t know, sometimes these are hard to write. Don’t you ever just want to go to sleep? Sleep sounds nice. I’m going back to bed. Good night.

Editor’s note: Glort will not return again.

Bonus question: What’s the stuffed animal from your childhood you held on to the longest?

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): The usual exercise games since the candy flow’s already started, plus a load of Splatoon 3.

I actually have a hand-me-down dog plushie from when my mom was a girl, so that’s certainly the oldest one, except for the tongue that had to be replaced several times because child-Andrew really wanted a dog and would moisten the tongue to make the plushie more real.

Ben Griggs (@braxwolf): For over a year I’ve whinged about having to play against submarines in World of Warships. But now that I’ve tried playing the class during early access, they’re actually kind of fun! Don’t tell anyone I said that. I’ll probably be sneaking up on poor battleship players and losing karma all weekend.

I had a teddy bear for a really long time, but can’t say that I’ve seen it for several years. It was in pretty sad shape even when I was younger, and had a hole in it’s neck where a bow tie used to be. Wherever you are tracheotomy bear, I hope you are doing well.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I’m scattered this weekend. I know I’ll be playing City of Heroes because the Homecoming patch caught me hard. I’ve got a few chores to do in Star Wars Galaxies Legends. I have sampled from the Lord of the Rings Online’s fall festival enough, but Justin tells me I gotta play Bingo’s questline, so that’s on my list. And I want to be sure to get in Guild Wars 2 to take some Halloween pics. Phew!

My mom actually saved one of my stuffies and gave it to my daughter a few years back; daughter thinks it’s hilarious that she owns something baby-me used to barf on.

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): I’ve pretty much fallen back into New World with a new character and new build, so that will spice things up for me in-between runs of the Variant dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV and maybe some good ol’ fashioned Elite: Dangerous space truckin’.

There was a little brown and white stuffed doggy toy that I apparently had since I was a baby and kept near me for the better part of 14 years or so. It since was lost in a flood, but I recall what it looked like immediately.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): It’s the first weekend in a while where I don’t have a game to review, so I expect to mostly be… actually playing Potionomics, mostly, interspersed with a bit of FFXIV. Also, bothering cats. That should be fun.

I still actually have one of my oldest stuffed animals, a canvas brontosaurus. He sits on our futon in our den. He needs a lot of work, but he’s nostalgic.

Mia DeSanzo (@neschria): If my husband goes camping with my son, I will probably be playing some Rimworld Biotech. Brand new expansion! If not, I will be at cub scout camp with my son.

My mom has a threadbare pink bunny that was my special stuffed animal when I was a toddler. Its name was Paint. I recently passed down a Wrinkles dog puppet to my teen. I got it when I was a bit older. It’s in like-new condition. It was in a box of stuff my mom brought me from her attic. I never gave it a name, so make of that what you will. I just called it Wrinkles.

Sam Kash (@thesamkash): After being wrong for a month, GW2’s Halloween events are finally actually here. So I’m be knocking those achievements out. It’s nice that the event last long enough that I can usually get the big annual achievement mostly by doing the dailies and not having to grind it until I hate it. Of course I still play MultiVersus regularly too. Moonscars is my single player game right now. Kind of hard as nails but I think I like it, even though there’s a lot that is gameplay.

Bonus: We have a box of Beanie Babies that made great potty training rewards for little ones.
