Embers Adrift dropped its last patch for 2023 with plenty of environment tweaks, gameplay adjustments, and UI fixes. But what’s at the center of this is the new Shrieking Barrows embers vein for those in their mid-30s. The Shrieking Barrows EV is located in the relatively new Grimstone Canyon and “supports solo, duo/trio, and full group content,” according to the team.

Stormhaven Studios reports that the work to upgrade Embers Adrift’s engine from Unity2021 to 2022 is “mostly complete” and should go into effect in the new year.

“Past the engine upgrade we will be testing some radical changes to certain elements of the game throughout January on QA. We should have more information regarding this in early January,” Stormhaven said.
