This week is the culmination of the Lance Dur season in Waven, and it’s bringing a whole lot of things for players to do beyond opening a daily portal into a boss fight. The latest content patch has a new hero, new storyline content, and a new island, among several other things.

At the top of the season’s offerings is the new Astramantises, the sixth hero in the lop class that wields a lance and promises to bring “unique skills and fresh dynamics on the battlefield.” Another major feature is new story content, with 40 chapters that task players with investigating a mysterious rift in Astrub and discovering why the gods disappeared. Additional quests can also be found in the new island of Amakna, and the Portal of Time boss fight is available once more, with players having to face off against Lance Dur himself.

Other features of the new season include the usual battle pass offerings with its free, gold, and platinum tracks, though those who purchase a pass upgrade will be granted the unique reward of exclusive 30 days’ access to a Lance Dur animated series. The update that launched the season also brought overall adjustments like more side quests, separate balancing for PvE and PvP, an open chat, and the ability to link the skill tree to decks.

Finally, to close out the year, Ankama has taken a look at the last year of Waven’s early access and answered several player questions. You can click the link above to read the recap or watch the livestream VOD below instead.
