While Embers Adrift most definitely is not the MMORPG for lone wolf players, Stormhaven Studios made some concessions for soloers with the February patch.
The update, which is now live, includes a new solo loop through the Ember Vein for those who can’t or don’t want to find a party. The studio also added behavioral status VFX and worked to categorize all rare drops and quest rewards with a new color tagging system.
Finally, the update paves the way for the long-promised free trial to go into effect on March 1st. This will be an unlimited trial but will restrict participants in several areas such as chat channels, trade, guilds, and the use of a single character.
