A battle royale shooter like THE FINALS very often lives and dies by getting new seasonal content, so it’s probably little surprise that this week’s launch of Season 2 is jam-packed with things for players to do, whether it’s fighting on a new map, checking out new game modes, or blowing apart others with shiny new weapons.
Some of the highlights of the update were already announced like the new Horizon map, the addition of the Hacker playstyle, and the casual 5v5 power shift mode, though the update notes provide more details about these features and more. Highlights include information about Hacker abilities for light, medium, and heavy builds; three new weapons; and a new tutorial set in the Monaco map.
In addition to this, the new season also features the career circuit feature, which offers up weekly contracts for players to complete for currency, goodies, and a larger weekly reward. Pile that on top of improved matchmaking, the first draft launch of a private match feature, and a new battle pass, and Season 2 of the shooter has no shortage of things happening.
