The Daily Grind: What animal do you want to see in more MMOs?

They exist.

Pangolins are the weirdest animals that sound like fantasy creatures except they’re real animals in the real world. We need more of them in video games. Look at them! They’re adorable armored lizard-mammals who walk like they’re royal advisors about to give bad news to an angry regent. Why are there not dozens of them in every MMORPG ever? I want more pangolins. Oh, sure, I love cats and hedgehogs and goats, but pangolins are being slept on.

Not that pangolins are the only neat animals out there. We get an awful lot of press coverage for stuff like the platypus (known as “the basic unusual animal”) but perhaps you’re more a fan of the lemur, or the tree kangaroo, or the wallaby. Heck, you might even be a radical fan of sugar gliders, echidnas, or gharials. It’s clear that if you work at it, you can even give a lot of personality to catfish, yes yes. So what animal do you want to see in more MMOs?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
