Cue your “it’s happening” animated gifs because Update 40 is finally coming to Lord of the Rings Online this week after multiple rounds of testing. Standing Stone Games confirmed this past weekend that the patch is coming on Wednesday followed by the debut of a new supporter pack sale on Thursday.
Update 40: Beneath the Surface includes the new “Neaths” DLC quest pack that takes place underneath the city of Umbar in five regions. It also includes a lot of class balancing work and marks the start of Season 10 of the legendary item reward track, so make sure to grab your current rewards before they vanish.
The supporter pack is being called the “Whimsical Patrons Coffer” and includes a horse with a kitten-inhabited basket.
