Pax Dei schedules plot cleanup for August 21 – with new criteria for which plots it’s deleting

Mainframe Industries has been talking up a big plot clean-up for Pax Dei for the last couple of weeks – and now we have a hard date and a lot more information about what it will entail, including some changes to how the plots will be selected.

“We will have a new wave of plot cleaning to remove ‘inactive’ plots from some areas,” the studio says. “This cleaning session will happen on August 21 – and the plot selection will happen on August 19.”

As we’ve previously noted, the clean-up is meant to clear the landscape of abandoned plots to make space for active players. Plots must meet a specific set of requirements to be subject to deletion: the owner character must have fewer than two hours of playtime without having logged in since July 22, must not be part of a guild with at least two players, and must have under 50 crafting events or pieces on the plot.

But Mainframe is adding even more requirements to make sure that it’s wiping only truly abandoned plots, and this will definitely mean you can’t just log in to refresh: Even if you make it through that first set of rules, the team will also delete plots with 0 pieces and crafting events and 0 new pieces/events in the last month, again for characters not in a guild with at least two people. In other words, if you want to keep your plot, you need to log in and craft something – soon.

“If you think one of your plots falls in the ‘to be deleted category’, ensure you log in to the game before August 19, place a building piece and/or craft an item using a crafter placed on that plot.”
