Dominance – aka patch 2.8.5 – is live for the EU version of Aion Classic today. “With Dominance, players who have achieved the new max level of 58 can explore thrilling new instances and engage in epic battles for control of key locations,” Gameforge says. “The update offers exciting new content for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned veteran or new to the world of Atreia.” That new content includes the Apheta Beluslan Fortress PvP battle as well as the Wall of Lament and Tartarus instances for PvEers.

Earlier this week, Gameforge previewed one of those new dungeons: the Wall of Lament. It’s a four-player instance for level 58 characters will transport players to the prison cell of this tormented Daeva, who will not immediately attack when arriving so that parties have a moment to prepare themselves. Once the battle is joined, however, players should expect a tough fight as Samael leverages incredible power and the ability to warp time so alternate versions of herself can join in the assault. Naturally there will be plenty of rewards for victorious parties to claim such as the Doomed Legion Commander’s gear set that features exclusive chest armor, leg armor, weapons, and accessories, on top of “other fabulous treasures.”
