Next week will be a big one for Black Desert on PC because that’s when Land of the Morning Light’s Seoul addition will launch. Even so, this week’s update is still a pretty big deal too, primarily because it launches the pre-quests that lead into the new region.
Characters that are level 56 can get the ball rolling towards Seoul by talking to the Black Spirit first, then meeting with the NPC Dolswe in Balenos. Obviously there aren’t many more details so players can experience these quests themselves, but know that the onramp to Seoul is now available this week.
Other features of the PC patch include PvP balance-focused class updates that remove the down smash maneuver, adjustments to the War of the Roses PvP battle with more promised soon, and visual updates for background objects.
Meanwhile, BDO Console’s latest patch is highlighted by several class updates of its own, as well as adjustments to several of the MMORPG’s quests and improved silver, item, and XP rewards across the board for the Red Battlefield PvP instance.
In other news, Pearl Abyss has launched a collab with the TV anime Berserk, today through September 19th on PC and console in all regions.
“The collaboration introduces costumes based on the Berserk IP, featuring four distinct types: ‘Guts Berserker Armor’, ‘Griffith Armor A/B’ and ‘Schierke’s Garb’. The ‘Guts Berserker Armor’ is available for all male classes, while the Warrior class can equip the ‘Guts Dragon Slayer Pack’, which includes the signature ‘Guts Dragon Slayer’ weapon. The ‘Griffith Armor’ is available for female classes in two versions, A and B, and the ‘Schierke’s Garb’ is available for the Shai class. During the event period, special collaboration event quests will be available. Completing these quests will reward players with the ‘[Event] Behelit Alchemy Stone’ and the ‘Everything is Within the Flows of Causality’ title. The ‘Nosferatu Zodd’ from Berserk will appear as a world boss in Black Desert. ‘Zodd’ has both a human form, wielding a longsword and battle ax, and a demon form with bull horns, bat wings, and claws. In Black Desert, the demon form of Zodd will appear as a world boss at specific times each day. Defeating Zodd will grant players the ‘Behelit Alchemy Stone’. In addition, a new collaboration alchemy stone skin, ‘Crimson Behelit Alchemy Stone Appearance’, is also being introduced. This item can be reformed with ‘Vell’s Heart’ to create a ‘Behelit’s Heart’.”
