If you’re curious about Albion Online’s upcoming Horizons update and want to take a peek ahead of time, today is your day, as Sandbox Interactive is kicking off an open playtest this morning (October 11th). In fact, there are kinda two playtests back to back.
The solo-oriented phase begins at 10 a.m. EDT this morning, followed by the group-oriented phase at noon EDT (14:00 UTC and 16:00 UTC, respectively). Full test access instructions are on the official site, but the devs are asking you to roll new toons for this special test server – no need to bring gear, as you’ll get “cheat stones” to help you target-test. Expect surveys popping up during the test too.
“Aside from being among the first to try the new features, you can also win valuable rewards,” the studio says, sweeting the pot. “We’ll be holding raffles for those participating in each category of the playtest, and a grand raffle for those who take part throughout the entire event. Expect multiple 3500g raffles for participants and a 10,000g grand prize raffle open to those who “complete all objectives across both phases.” That includes filling out the surveys! Try to have some fun too, eh?
