For all of the pirate-y things that the multiplayer world of Skull & Bones offers, the one thing that’s been missing all this time is that most ubiquitous of accessories: a pet parrot. That ends on Tuesday, November 19th, which is when Season 4 of the game will go live and offer a way for players to finally get a parrot friend. Crackers presumably not included, but that’s OK because Admiral Squawkers MacFluff III deserves much better fare. Like fresh Brazil nuts and iceberg lettuce.

Obviously there’s more to Season 4 than a bird: There’s a new primary antagonist in the form of the arisen Vikram Rajan and his Shadow Legion forces, both of which will make up the bulk of the season’s contracts and bounties. Taking on various difficulties of this new bounty, including the new mythic difficulty level, will award different kinds of reward boxes, silver, and a seasonal crystallized tainted wood currency that can be traded for new seasonal equipment.

The update also brings a refreshed Smuggler’s Pass as well, which is where the parrot hides at tier 70, as does the new Garuda ship at tier 45, a new epic torpedo weapon, new epic furniture sets, and the usual assortment of new cosmetics.

Other features for the upcoming patch include adjustments to elemental damage types that apply status effects such as the new punctured effect, two more bosses in the form of a new sea monster and elite warship, several new events, and a game mode that tasks players with defending their manufactories against ghost ships. Ubisoft Singapore is also making sure that players are aware of the assortment of quality-of-life updates made through its first year with a handy-dandy video.
