The Daily Grind: How would you have gamed differently in 2024?

Reborn as the... uh... team we are talking about.

Our MOP interns brought me my morning coffee and the dire news that this is, indeed, the last month of the year. For lo! December is here! And that means a whole lot of wrapping up, lists, and — of course — retrospection.

With 11 of the 12 months of the year under our collective belts, I thought this might be an interesting time to look back and evaluate how we’ve used this year for MMO gaming. Specifically, with what you know now and the experiences you’ve had, is there anything you’d do differently in your gaming in 2024 if you could change things? Are there purchases or decisions you wouldn’t have made knowing how they turned out?

For me, it usually comes down to the characters and games that I choose to play over those I don’t. And yes, there’s a whole bunch of gaming chair quarterbacking going on with that as I speculate on what might’ve happened if I had gone a different route.

Yet I’m also pretty pleased with how the year’s turned out for me, so no big complaints! How about you? Is there anything you would’ve done differently in your gaming this year?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
