Here’s how Dark Age of Camelot’s latest Caledonia catch-up works

The Caledonia event is running right now in Dark Age of Camelot and it’s letting all players start right off at level 30 and rocket ahead in levels pretty quickly. If you’ve done this before, you know it’s a great opportunity to get a character leveled up. But if you haven’t taken part in one of the prior events? Well, maybe you’d like a primer, and the developers have helpfully put one together for new participants as well as anyone who has forgotten the particulars.

In sum, it’s kind of like Burning Man if instead of doing drugs and maybe listening to music you were fighting enemies the whole time. Your new character gets dropped right into Caledonia (and you cannot re-enter once you leave, so keep that in mind), then gets boosted straight to level 30 and (if relevant) can summon a charmed pet. From there you pick up an experience boost and you’re off to the races, zooming ahead as you fight for levels and dominance alike in the classic RvR MMORPG. Check out the whole rundown if you’re in the mood for a quick jaunt upward in levels running until December 9th.
