Fallout 76’s plans for 2025 include ghoul players, fishing, and a Big Bloom event

With 20 “milestone” patches and 21 million players to date, Fallout 76 clearly overcame its troubled beginnings to become a strong live service game. And Bethesda doesn’t want to slow down with this either, as there are many plans on tap for 2025.

In a new letter to the community, the studio presented the coming roadmap, starting with an early 2025 patch that will let players transform into a ghoul: “Players who become ghouls will have chosen a life path full of challenges, but one equally ripe with potential. While ghouls suffer no ill effects from radiation exposure… be careful to not turn feral!”

Following that is the new Big Bloom spring seasonal event, a fishing system for the summer, a beefed-up Mischief Night in the fall, more perk cards, a revamp of the CAMP workshop build menu, and a few “surprises.”

There’s no doubt that Fallout 76 will continue to benefit from the success of Amazon’s Fallout series, which is heading into Season 2 and just won Best Adaptation at The Game Awards.
