Yay, sort of?

It wouldn’t have been unreasonable to think that Apex Legends had hit its stride a few days ago when it announced that it had reached 10 million players (and one million concurrent players) just 72 hours after its release. Somehow, though, its meteoric rise has continued, reaching a staggering 25 million players with a peak of 2 million concurrent players according to the latest announcement from Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella.

As the game’s popularity has continued to increase, the devs have been keeping a close eye on the community and listening to player feedback and suggestions, Zampella says. Although the studio isn’t quite ready to announce what it’s got planned for the surprise-hit battle royale title, Zampella promises that it is “looking at changes based on player feedback and experiences.”

In addition, the first of Apex Legends’s official events are set to roll out soon, with the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge taking place today, February 12th, as well as next Tuesday, February 19th. In addition, the game will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with some “limited-time Valentine’s Day themed loot” prior to the commencement of the game’s first official season in March. While we’ll have to wait to see what else lies over the horizon for Apex Legends, it certainly seems like we can expect big things in the game’s future.
