The Daily Grind: Which MMOs are you curious to see move forward in 2020?

Who's THIS guy

It’s not exactly going to surprise anyone that a lot of my MMO time in 2020 has been devoted to Final Fantasy XIV, especially as most of my MMO time in 2019 was also directed at that game. But it’s hardly the only game I’m watching with personal interest or the only one I care about. I’m really curious about Magic: Legends, for example. I’m keeping a close eye on what The Elder Scrolls Online does with its trip back into Skyrim. Heck, I’m still the weirdo super interested in seeing how Phantasy Star Online 2 and Ascent: Infinite Realm shake out over here.

Obviously, it’s a bit too early to tell how some of those games will shake out this year; I can easily tell a story wherein two of those upcoming titles wind up being non-starters and the already operating titles just quietly move along producing the same consistent but not shocking work all the way through. But that’s where I’m focused at the start of the year. It’s not just about what you’re necessarily eager to play, but what it is you want to watch in development. What about you, dear readers? Which MMOs are you curious to see move forward in in 2020?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
