How many studio locations does it take for Star Citizen to get made? At least one more, apparently, as CIG has announced that it will be opening a new studio in Enterprise City in Manchester, UK, sometime in May 2022.
According to the company, it currently employs more than 700 people total, with 400 of them based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. But the Wilmslow team will be moving to the new location in Enterprise City’s Manchester Goods Yard. CIG’s press release claims the new studio is set to create 700 new jobs for the area by 2023, with over 1,000 more new jobs expected over the next five years, but it is unclear from this announcement whether those figures include or are in addition to the existing headcounts.
Meanwhile, Star Citizen itself continues to roll through the PTS phases of alpha 3.15, and has also kicked off its fall referral bonus that offers a free Argo MPUV-1C cargo ship. Finally, an announcement from the devs confirms that alpha 3.15.1 will introduce Easy Anti-Cheat to the game.
