  • A pleasing pine scent is now present in all outdoor zones.
  • An unpleasant and frankly offensive pine scent is now produced whenever you have eaten too many onions, so now people will still think you smell bad but they’ll think you’ve been doing something with a bunch of pine trees.
  • Fixed a bug that caused dogs to occasionally speak articulate English.
  • Player characters can no longer take damage. If you hit a wall and it hurts, we’ve got some bad news for you, buckaroo.
  • Birds will now appear every time you are near. Please use the configuration settings to configure a speed, ranging from 1 (“Suddenly”) to 5 (“Eventually”), with the default setting being 3 (“Gradually”).
  • Refusing to use “they” as a third-person singular pronoun will now result in your tires being slashed.
  • Hiccups.
  • Fixed a bug where What Are You Playing occasionally had a coherent throughline.
  • Mange.
  • Caused a bug where text would sometimes overflow and displays would cut

Bonus question: What are your non-gaming resolutions (if any) for 2022?

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Pokemon Go will still get some attention, despite my situation. I friend saw me playing recently and jumped in with her lapsed friend, so it’s been fun. That same friend also just started Animal Crossing New Horizon, which will also get a little attention.

I don’t really do a lot of resolutions. I’m still working on losing weight, but since that’s on pause, I suppose a sub-goal of my overall weight loss goal will be losing the holiday weight I’m gaining. That counts, right?

Andy McAdams: Probably lots of Final Fantasy XIV – I just finished the Endwalker storyline – and I am definitely on team Endwalker has a better story than Shadowbringers. The game hath sunk its claws deep into me again.

Bonus Question: Nothing really? I set goals for myself periodically throughout the year.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Same as usual for me. I’ve got a couple weeks of sub time on two Albion Online toons, so I’m gonna keep doing that. There’s also a good bristley hide up on Naboo, so I’ll be in Star Wars Galaxies Legends farming it for my armorsmith. Don’t look at me like that.

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): I am genuinely not sure. I’ve been pulled in too many directions to think about anything gaming-related.

Resolutions are nonsense.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): More Metroid Dread, I tells ya. And maybe some FFXIV, as a treat. (Or maybe those will be flipped around.)

My biggest goal this year is the same as last year, at least in my mind – focus on being authentic to myself and being honest about the things I like, that bring me joy, and that are worth sharing. I’d rather focus on that on a whole than whinging about things I don’t like.

Sam Kash (@thesamkash): With Wintersday in full swing in Guild Wars 2, that’s where I’ll spend some time every night. I’ve also been semi addicted to Rocket League Sideswipe. It’s just so easy to get into. Matches are only 2 minutes so I can literally play a match between turning on the coffee pot and grabbing my cup. I’m in a holding pattern in New World. I took a break due to the holidays and I’m still debating whether it’s worth the effort to log back in or not.
