Neverwinter unvaults Dread Sanctum dungeon November 19 and reruns the Harvester of Nightmares event

When Neverwinter announced its Return to Pirates’ Skyhold module release, one of the features it talked up was the return of the Dread Vault dungeon. This week saw Cryptic/Deca/Arc offer a little more detail about the unvaulted encounter, which is noted as the “ultimate test” of the new module.

“An enemy long thought defeated, the terrifying black dragon Yshiggol, emerges once more from the shadows, now transformed into an even deadlier force: the almighty Elder Brain Dragon.”

The resurrected dungeon will be available in normal, advanced, and master difficulties, with commensurate rewards for each tier, and promises some new features for players to navigate like revamped boss fights and a crystallized mechanic that will require coordination to overcome. It’s all a bit vague, but considering this reads like the apex of the new module, waiting until its arrival on Tuesday, November 19th, doesn’t sound too bad.

In the meantime, players can busy themselves with the return of the Harvester of Nightmares event, which once more pits players against an arena of nightmare creatures that must be slain to draw out a nightmare form of older boss monsters. The event will run between now and December 5th.
