New World’s Winter Convergence Festival returns December 10

While New World’s recent roadmap focuses heavily on the game’s seventh season coming in January along with more aspirational hopes for 2025, there’s one last update for the year: the Winter Convergence festival that celebrates the winter holidays.

“The majesty of snow, the warmth of community, and a host of exciting rewards and activities can only mean one thing: The Winter Convergence Festival is back!” Amazon says. “Beginning on December 10, this seasonal celebration transforms Aeternum into a winter wonderland where you partake in festive quests, collect unique items, and embrace the spirit of giving. Beautifully decorated Winter Villages are your gateway to a flurry of activities like quests from the Winter Wanderer to guide you through the event, crafting stations for holiday-themed recipes, [and] access to the Winter Convergence Shop, where you can exchange Winter Tokens for event-specific rewards, ranging from cosmetics like winter-themed armor and weapon skins to festive emotes.”

Do note that you need to be level 25 to start the quest and level 60 to do much with the content itself, which used to be more of a burden prior to Aeternum, but now leveling is fairly trivial, so don’t depair. The fun starts next week on December 10th.

In other New World news, the game is currently in the middle of another game world merge as 12 of its servers merge to six. By our count, that’ll leave the game with 41 servers across all regions and platforms.
