Hi-Rez Studios told press and fans today that it’s taking over Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, Georgia, for its next big event.

Hi-Rez Expo will run from January 5th to 8th, 2017, and feature the third annual SMITE World Championship as well as the first Paladins HRX Invitational Tournament. The SMITE tourney is slated to once again award a million bucks as its prize pool, plus “the top Xbox teams will also compete for a $150,000 prize pool in the first ever SMITE Xbox World Championship,” the studio says.

SMITE’s 2015 prize pool broke several records and still remains in the top 10 largest e-sports prize pools of all time (it’s #8; DOTA 2 holds one through seven). Last year’s prize pool was likewise capped at a million USD.
