Elder Scrolls Online posts brief teaser vid of Morrowind’s Seyda Neen

Ah, Seyda Neen: The crappy town where the Empire dumps your convict butt off the boat on Vvardenfell!

If you’re feeling nostalgic, take a peek at The Elder Scrolls Online’s new Morrowind teaser, which includes a brief — and I do mean brief, as the footage is eight seconds long — fly-over of the iconic port village. It’s apparently part of a new series:

“Like to get a sneak peek at some of the sites you’ll experience in The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind? Starting with the township of Seyda Neen, we’re posting a video clip featuring one of Vvardenfell’s most iconic locations every few days throughout the rest of March.”

Music gives ya chills, doesn’t it?

ZeniMax is promising a tour through all three new Morrowind battlegrounds in tomorrow’s stream, so keep an eye out for that tomorrow afternoon.

Well…this video certainly emphasized the “peek” part, didn’t it.

But it just won’t be the same without my favourite friend Fargoth…

Are you Mike Pence?

In all seriousness, they increased the feminist agenda by 5% in the last patch. Guess we won’t be seeing you any time soon.

Dude…..whatever you taking, cut the dose.

Strong female characters, doesn’t mean neo-feminism, the elder scrolls uses a lot of Celtic and Nordic mythologies , both cultures had just as many female warriors/heroes and villains as male.

Honestly never noticed that. Sure there were some strong ladies, but not to the point of obnoxiousness. It felt a natural part of the world. After all, TES world was always full of female NPC, more so than most other computer RPGs.

You should probably just stay out of social spaces altogether.

So the video dimensions… they did that on purpose, to try to simulate how Morrowind looked on non-wide screen monitors?

Yeah, that was weird, wasn’t it? Older monitors were mostly squarish, that was more portrait than anything, so not sure why they picked those dimensions. Certainly not reminiscent of typical aspect ratios at the time the original Morrowind came out.

If Seyda Neen was indeed this old, shouldn’t it be a lot bigger in the TES3 times? Or is it supposed to be some sort of model settlement? An open air museum?

I heard Bree let out a little nerd snort while she was writing this.

No shame in it. Lol

Love the music. The vid itself didn’t do anything for me though

Things rarely do anything for anyone when they only last 15 seconds ;)!

I agree the music was good tho’.

Yeah, IMO it didn’t make it to ‘teaser’ even. Maybe got as far as ‘te’
