No Man’s Sky will operate free of PlayStation Plus

One of the downsides to getting into online games on consoles is that you have to worry about whether or not the titles will require a premium membership to access. Happily, No Man’s Sky console fans won’t be needing a PlayStation Plus subscription to enjoy this buy-to-play title when it releases next month.

“PS Plus won’t be a requirement to play online, however you will need to connected to the internet for your discoveries to register with the universal atlas,” a PlayStation representative told Game Informer.

As the article notes, players won’t be bumping into each other very much in the game, interacting mostly by leaving and reading atlas entries of their discoveries.
