WRUP: Good news, it’s completely ruined edition

Banjo music.

Hey, good news, dude! This stuff is ruined. I mean, completely ruined. It looks like a bomb went off over there, if the bomb itself was a cluster of smaller bombs which themselves set off even more bombs. Like, this entire situation is just wrecked six ways from Sunday, and some of it is totally your fault, but so much of it isn’t. Your mistakes could not possibly cover how immensely screwed up this whole thing got in short order. This is a whole new caliber of ruined, the sort of ruined that you normally can’t achieve even if you try.

So what’s the plan now? I mean, you are not putting this back together. That’s not going to happen. I think… okay, you’re going to kneel in the wreckage and make a dramatic show of trying to put things back together as a futile, self-defeating gesture. Hey, that’s all right, we all have to deal with the catastrophic mess that is this situation in our own ways. Me, I’m going to let people know what I’m doing down in the comment section of What Are You Playing. I suggest you do the same. You know, after the dramatic gestures. You do you.

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): This weekend is it: My official move out of my apartment and into couch surfing mode for about two weeks before leaving Japan (at least for now… maybe). Pokémon Go will be happening, no doubt, especially since I live in such a convenient location. However, as I’ll be cleaning my apartment and maybe checking out a local event, I may not have time for anything else. At least I can be alone together while grinding levels, just like in a real MMO!

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): This weekend, I think the husband and I are going to go do Guild Wars 2 story stuff, finally! I’m so hoping it gets us back into the game more seriously because I dearly miss playing it, especially with him – but the expansion was so deeply solo/duo-unfriendly that it snuffed out our spark, over and over. Time to relight it.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): World of Warcraft prepatch stuff to sort out, Final Fantasy XIV roleplaying and dailies to handle… yeah, I’m pretty well booked. Predictable, but satisfying!

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I might be checking out Shroud of the Avatar now that it sort-of-but-not-really launched, but chances are better that I’ll be spreading my time between Star Trek Online, The Secret World, and even a bit of RIFT.

Thatchefdude, patron: This weekend I’ll be continuing my The Elder Scrolls Online adventuring, but my main attention will be on finishing up a couple PS4 exclusives I picked up recently, Infamous: Second Son and The Order: 1886. In non-gaming news, I have to do some garden work around my yard and build up a stone and mud sidewall; I’ve been getting heavy flooding recently against the side of my house from constant rain, and that’s not really good for the foundation, or the walls I would guess. Time to get my hands dirty (+3 Strength, +2 Constitution, +5 Botany).

Your turn!
