Buffs and nerfs. Nerfs and buffs. They’re a fact of life in any online game, but when it comes to competitive environments, even a hint of possible changes could send shockwaves through the community.

Prepare to be shocked, then, as Overwatch’s team has indicated that it is considering adjustments for a few of its characters. Citing that the character is “a bit too strong,” Blizzard indicated that Zenyatta is due for a nerf in the coming weeks. There’s better news for fans of Mercy and Mei, as both characters are being considered for buffs, with the former possibly getting more firepower and the latter receiving improvements to her ultimate.

Next month marks the start of the second season of competitive play for Overwatch. When it goes live, there will be some changes to the new mode — and you need to get ready for it right now.
