Dungeons and Dragons Online adventurers are called to descend into the game’s famous Underdark once more, as today the Terror of Demogorgon expansion added more “sprawling grottos, fungal forests, and ancient ruins” to this subterranean empire.
Update 81: Terror of Demogorgon marks the MMO’s 11th expansion and a sequel of sorts to the game’s first pack, Menace of the Underdark, which came out in 2012. The expansion raises the level cap to 36, adds 13 new quests/dungeons, opens an additional wilderness area, and lays the groundwork for an upcoming raid. Patch notes are up on the site, as is an overview of the Big Bads you’ll be defeating this time around.
Purchasers also gain access to the new Duergar Dwarf race along with the Mindcleaver Iconic, which wields special axes that are all glowy and stuff. The basic edition is $40, with an $80 collector’s edition and a $130 Ultimate Fan Bundle on the store as well.
