Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): My Pokemon Go group’s been wanting to have a workshop where knowledgeable players can help newer players without us panicking about raid timers or other obligations, so we’re gonna test out hosting it after Niantic’s community event days so no one feels obligated to host. Final Fantasy XIV might happen too, especially since a friend keeps bugging me to log in. I’ve been meaning to get in more, but it’s been a busy week. My bear mount is probably missing me!

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): My weekend already looks like a pile of garbage as I’ll be stuck home most of it, but silver lining: video games! I’ll probably get to play Trove or Guild Wars 2 with my kid, and I’d like to dig back into some of the survival sandboxes I picked up from the Steam sale.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): It’s my birthday! I have no idea what I’m doing for it. Maybe not much. But I will be playing more FFXIV, and I also need to play around with the newly scaling world in World of Warcraft. Maybe one or two other things? I don’t know yet.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I was trying out a little Global Adventures, but I think it really will only be a little bit. Other plans involve trying to clear out my quest log in World of Warcraft and running a few more Dungeons & Dragons Online instances. I am also working through my Steam and GOG backlog as per a new year resolution.

MJ Guthrie (@MJ_Guthrie, blog): I am looking forward to trying out the survival sandbox Miscreated. After that, I will be finally spending more time in ARK: Survival Evolved. That DLC makes the game feel all-new again, and that was desperately needed! I also plan to carve some time out for Lord of the Rings Online, for The Elder Scrolls: Legends to finish Act III, and HEX to finally beat that blasted dungeon on my battle bunny. I am pretty sure Secret World Legends will also fit into there, but after that I am sure I am out of time (especially since I do not game on Sundays).

Pierre, patron: Destiny 2 has become some kind of pleasant routine for me. I watch around me and observe cluelessly in a stupor all the hate generated by this game I’ve spent close to 200 hours in now. Really, I have no clue; maybe I’m less demanding than others. My other game of the weekend is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds; I’m hooked, definitely. This game is so good, giving you all the tools to build up your own victory… or defeat. Every game is different, but you still learn and your skills progress. This game is also really enjoyable because it never generates hate and rage when you lose; you just start a new game and try to do better. In all the other PvP games I know, defeat was accompanied by anger towards myself for being stupid or towards others for playing really badly when I was trying so hard. I hope you’ll enjoy your weekend MOP readers, and find a lot of time for gaming. Cheers!

I would only say: I regret absolutely nothing.

I’m playing Project Ascension ( WoW pserver with all classes talents and skills liberated for you to build your hero ), but i’m more interested in medieval fantasy in the dabbling of D&D, or cyberpunk/postapoc like Anarchy Online and Neocron.

Sadly, no game can ever compare to what i end up imagining, so i have more fun visualizing stuff in my head.

Guess i’m playing Blade & Soul with Uta and Raph.

I’m in a little of a funk. I still never actually finished FFXIII, still right there at the very end. Started playing Dragon Age: Origin, but after finishing all the starting zones, I’m very slowly getting anywhere. I logged into WoW to poke around the new patch, and managed to die at level five. Honestly, that’s a good thing, but at the end of the day I’m still bored of the actual act of pushing those buttons. I’ve been consuming more TV and movies. In the last week or two, plowed through all of The Man in the High Castle, PKD’s Electric Dreams, the latest season of Steven Universe, Flight of the Conchords, and then still high from that, watched Eagle vs Shark and Hunt for the Wilderpeople today. I borrowed IT from a coworker, and then I need to catch up on the new season of Black Mirror, and watch Bright. And just now as I’m typing, realized I still haven’t watched Punisher.

Maybe you’re in a funk out of exhaustion from trying to play and watch everything at once. Take a nap, whydoncha? ; )

It’s kind of funny, with hundreds of channels for years and years, I’ve never felt quite the content glut that I’m having over the last year or two of Netflix, Hulu, Amazon. It used to be there would be maybe one sci-fi show, and even if it was terrible, I’d watch it anyway, just on principle. Now I have to pick and choose which superhero, sci-fi, fantasy shows I want to watch and there’s still not enough time in the day.

Endless Space 2, trying out the new Vaulters DLC. They were my favorite faction from Endless Legend, and from the intro clip this is apparently the same group from that game.

Continuing my adventures in ESO and Witcher 3 with a little Hearthstone sprinkled in. Getting ready to hop into ESO for some vet dungeons on my stam Nightblade then lvl up my Sorcerer some more. Surprised I’m liking the caster so much! I usually lean toward melee type characters.

A little bit of FFXIV just levelling some alt classes more but aside from that not much. I think knowing MHW will swallow all my time since every game in the series has gotten 700-1000 hours from me has me taking the week off from games so to speak. Been way into tabletop instead. Got my two new Malifaux crews set up ready for painting and finally decided to give age of sigmar a go and bought a skele army box. Its been pretty interesting in my neck of the woods for tabletop lately. Lots of new shops and actual cafe places designed for it instead of a local church/community center basement type stuff.
Now just gotta shake the rust off and paint some models for the first time in years. But damn happy with my bases so far and thats a rarity for me!

Today I’m helping a friend finish the Nergigante quest on the MHW beta. Beyond that, not sure. Probably just some YouTube and maybe work on the “trilogy” of Soulblazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma. I plan on being very lazy today.

I’m a little under the weather, which left me some extra time to play as I’m not doing anythin strenuous this weekend. I spent some time in Planescape: Torment this morning. I’m torn between spending time tomorrow in LotRO, or resubbing to WoW to level an alt. Is anyone out there doing the latter? How has your experience been in the level-scaled zones? I’ll probably also be watching some US sportsball with my faither-in-law – it’s practically a requirement if your team makes it this far in the postseason.

Have a great weekend all!

Just doing quests and killing some mobs I’m enjoying it. Make sure you have some pots and food and you are good to go. The official forums make it sound like the worst thing ever – or the best thing ever…as usual it’s somewhere in between. I think it was a positive change overall and I expect Blizz to do some tweaking.
