This game is buuuugggy.

… But it is fun. I purchased it when it was in early access ( VERY …very early access), and i’m glad to see it full launch, and it’s really fun. The glitches i keep running into are when my character starts bouncing through the ground, and occasionally falling through it, clipping into a cave I can’t escape from.

Well, usually. Funny story about that: I just landed on an Exotic planet, planned to dig myself into a cave and set up a cave-base, and clipped through into a cave. WITH my shuttle! So I had life support that way, but no way out. Ah, but I saw a resin deposit nearby – and resin means oxygen masks!

15-20 minutes later, and a LOT of oxygen masks, I had dug a steady ramp up from my ship up to the surface again – even found my corpse with all my swag that I brought with me on it – … and then went back underground and built my base around the clipping location. I carved out a nice bunker.

Do you know how many wind turbines and batteries you need for reliable energy underground? A LOT OF THEM THATS HOW MANY. (I didn’t have copper for solar energy at this point, so I couldn’t just chain-extenders to a solar farm on the surface).

Anyway, glad to see the game featured. It’s fun even with the issues. Currently i’m on planet #3 and finally getting my copper and tungston needed for a chem lab and I think i’m on the cusp of a trade platform, which I think will let me get a big enough ship that I can set up a final, permanent base somewhere and have access to all materials.

You should give Empyrion Galactic Survival a shot. Way cooler imo.

I’ve been playing it slowly but surely since the 1.0 launch. They made a lot of changes we didn’t see on the EA which seems weird since the point of EA is to help get the game ready for launch…

Be that as it may, I enjoy the game and am getting used to all the differences they’ve made. I like that the raw ore is easier to tell apart from each other and that although I haven’t gotten that far yet, it appears that every planet has a reason to visit it for particular resources.
