Black Desert adds the Tamer and Dark Rifts on Xbox One and kicks off new events on PC

Two versions of Black Desert have seen some updates recently, which raises the question: When will these games reach a level of parity that doesn’t require me to have seven different tabs open to follow along? Lucky for you readers, we’re here to truncate it all for you in one single sexy web page.

Xbox One players of the sandbox MMO can now enjoy the Tamer and tear open Dark Rifts. For those unfamiliar, Dark Rifts are effectively a private 1v1 fight between you and a big bad beastie for rewards while the Tamer class uses a mixture of magic and command of a beast named Heilang to deal with foes. The latest update to Xbox One also has details on monster changes, quest changes, and some class changes as well.

For PC players, there are a couple of events going on right now. One event is the second part of the Season of the Hunt, offering event pouches for hunting monsters, fishing, or gathering materials; bonuses to training and mount XP; and improved chances at getting a better horse when breeding or exchanging.

The other event is focused on guild recruitment, offering guilds big swaths of Silver, Guild Skill XP, and other guild-related goodies for meeting certain recruitment milestones. Of course, new players who sign up to a guild will need to remain active; specifically, they need to check in for eight days and reach level 56.

The PC patch notes offer updates on other events, item and quest changes, and a variety of additional errata.
