Sea of Thieves goes over quality-of-life improvements coming with Fort of the Damned

Just because an update has a rather imposing title like Fort of the Damned doesn’t mean that everything about your life in Sea of Thieves is going to get harder. As a matter of fact, there will be a variety of quality-of-life features added with next week’s content and executive producer Joe Neate is here to tell you all about them.

According to Neate, gunpowder barrels that are near each other will now blow up in succession instead of all at once, pet sounds when in danger have been tuned down to be less “excessive,” a couple of minor tweaks to entering aiming or blocking when coming in and out of a sprint will be added, and a new accessibility option that lets players switch certain held button actions to toggles like aiming downsights is on the way.

For those with lady avatars or those who simply want more feminine dress options, Fort of the Damned will also be introducing a wider range of feminine clothing options, as well as options to let players change the color of their underwear.

Quality-of-life, everyone.

While all of that is coming next week, it’s also a good time to look back at the month that was, which Rare has done with a September roundup as well as this design-focused look at the Smuggler’s Fortune update.

i played this today and the menus are still the worst thing ever. i had to google how to join my friend’s game after getting disconnected for being afk for less than 10 minutes. seems rather excessive to me but i guess when people are hoarding public crew spots? idk idk whatthe population of the game is these days. previous play session we did run into a two man crew within 30 minutes. and therewas a marked bad guy on the map in today’s session.

I’ve been wanting to make a comeback. Disgusted or are you still going to be playing?

i might play an hour now and then but i don’t wanna put much effort into it or play it too often either in the face of other projects and interests.

my cousin just kind of asked if i would play with him and i figured why not i’ll install it.

it does seem like there’s alot more random loot lying around. i’m not afan of having to press esc all the time when looting barrels, but there’s alot more barrels now and alot better chance of them having stuff in them. we also found more and far more valuable loot laying around the island of the quest we did than from teh quest we were doing.

all in all i’ll keep it around for now but i don’t expect to have much time for it or much other games (including my regulars) once red dead hits. it’s actually probably a good idea not to buy and plant a house deed in legends of aria either in the next few weeks now that i think of it lol.
