Astellia’s content roadmap touts a PvP battleground, new zones, new dungeons, and Astel equipment

Expect to see the words "more" and "new" a lot

Astellia has plans. Lots of plans. Big plans. Plans that stretch out into 2020’s first quarter and onward. The devs have laid out their content roadmap and it promises to keep players of the MMORPG active for what looks like a long while.

Updates begin starting on Tuesday, November 19th, with the arrival of Avalon, a large-scale tri-faction PvP battleground that sees players fighting each other and NPCs for control points over the course of a week. To celebrate the launch of this new PvP content, an event on Avalon’s opening week is being held, letting players get a chance at some unique rewards like titles, zender, and a mount.

In December, players can look forward to Christmas events, an item fusion system, three new legendary dungeons, and the Miodan Mine zone, an endgame-specific area where max level players can take on activities to earn class-specific treasures that can be upgraded with materials from the area as well as tokens to purchase high-tier consumables.

Beyond that, the roadmap outlines a variety of updates for the first quarter of 2020 and beyond. Expect a new Astel, a dungeon specifically for gathering materials, a GvG arena, a new hunting ground, a 12-person raid, new legendary dungeons, and the ability to give your Astel equipment. Updates due through the rest of 2020 include a raise to the level cap, more zones, more legendary and regular dungeons, and updates for guilds and Avalon.

I’m surprised there’s so much hate posted down below for a game with a localization company that’s actively adding new features that the Korean version doesn’t have (Miodan Mine zone, multiple genders).

If you don’t like the mechanics, fine. Post about that. I’m not sure why there are those below that think the game should be shut down… there’s plenty of room for more than one MMO in the West.

Some people just want to see the MMO genre burn.

Not really. There are good mmos worth the time out there. And then there are mmos you can make yourself think are good just because its something “new” but obviously won’t last long.

The game is fine. It’s better than most imports of this nature and fills a niche. The hate is pure bandwagoning and people competing in the Jaded Gamer Olympics.

I’m astounded by absolutely no mention of the promised male gender options for Scholar, Mage, and Archer. I guess when they said they would be “removing gender locks” they really just meant giving the option to make any class female. Gross. -_-

Here’s the post from August 22: https://www.astellia-mmo.com/news/view/female-warrior-assassin-gameplay-footage

At the bottom they say, “Our team is hard at work preparing the content necessary to fully unlock the remaining classes.”

It took me less then five minutes to look that information up. Don’t spread FUD.

But it’s still a valid point that the other gender options are not in yet and there was no mention of it in their rather comprehensive list of “what’s coming”.

I’m waiting for that specific feature to dive in and make the male scholar I have in mind, so I hope it’s not being mentioned means it’ll be implemented soon.

I’m surprised they have so much money to keep paying you guys for PR.

Honestly surprised this game hasn’t announced it’s inevitable shutdown yet

It has to go f2p first. To make the 10 people who paid to play it upset and quit.
