Star Wars: The Old Republic has had an event-loaded December on tap, with the Relics of the Gree event already here and gone but plenty more up and running now: the game’s Life Day seasonal celebration and its eighth anniversary.

Both events fired off yesterday, December 17th, and will run until Tuesday, January 7th. This year’s Life Day sees special missions coming online which reward Snow-Covered Parcels, which can be turned in for a variety of unique gifts like decorations, seasonal mounts, titles, and more. As for the eighth anniversary, players can check out a special Anniversary Personnel vendor on the fleet with new Stronghold decorations, all previous anniversary gifts, and the Coruscant and Dromund Kaas Strongholds for only eight credits apiece. Today also sees the Rakghoul Resurgence on Corellia from now until Tuesday, December 24th.

The SWTOR PTS should also see something new, too, in the form of the new Alderaan Stronghold. The devs offered a sneak peek at this new housing option, which should be on the PTS for a few days in order for players to test the Stronghold out and give feedback on hook placement and other related matters. The Stronghold features nine rooms, with eight plainly visible and the ninth only accessible from hitting a switch tucked away in the nearby mountains, along with a substantial front yard area, several guest rooms, and even a set of Alderaanian ruins for players to decorate. A full look at the Stronghold can be seen in the video below.
