Bonus question: What do you tend to have for breakfast most mornings?

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Got Pokemon Go community day for a bit followed by a console party. I may do a little Pokemon: Sword/Shield for the raids.

Most mornings start out with some mandarins and granola, sometimes with Greek yogurt. That way, if I eat a rack of ribs that day, I’ll feel slightly less guilty.

Andy McAdams: Probably Final Fantasy XIV, Stardew Valley, and/or Slay the Spire; I’m a bit scattered with my gaming lately.

Bonus Question: All the coffee. Literally all of it. And then either soft boiled eggs with toast or Cheerios with oat milk.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I doubt I will get to play much this weekend. Everyone here including me is sick. But maybe I’m wrong and we’ll play Trove together.

I’m an egg person, my favorite protein! And tea. The rest is negotiable!

Carlo Lacsina (@UltraMudkipEX): I’ll probably be trying to get my wife to play through the FFXIV storyline so she’s keeping up. Aside from that, I want to give the Extreme trial a shot this time around.

I tend to have breakfast sandwiches, I can’t get tired of those things. I especially like the Sausage Egg McMuffin. I don’t know what it is, but having a breakfast sandwich just perks up my day. Other times, I’ll go for a Breakfast Crunchwrap from Taco Bell; they’re only like $3.19 and are more food than the McMuffin. Man, I know too much about breakfast food.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Aside from the FFXIV patch stuff and ambling about a bit in Star Trek Online, I’m not sure. Heck, that might be enough to fill the weekend.

Weekdays, my breakfast is an English muffin with some butter and a soda for caffeine (I don’t much care for coffee). Weekends are a bit more variable, sometimes a breakfast sandwich and sometimes avocado toast when my wife wants to make some.

Mia DeSanzo (@neschria): I am playing Having The Flu. 0/5 stars, would not recommend. My everything hurts. Unfortunately, once you start playing, you can’t stop until it is done with you. Awake long enough to take more Tylenol right now. Have a better weekend than me, all y’all.

Samon Kashani (@thesamkash): For no apparent reason this Guild Wars 2 story update really didn’t do much for me. I am planning on finishing it this weekend, but it has really been a drag. Just didn’t click at all.

I eat yogurt with granola or almond butter every morning. I’ve been eating this every morning for the past eight years or so, and I suspect I will continue to do so for the next eight. After that is anyone’s guess, but my bet is on yogurt.

Tyler Edwards: I’m hoping to finish the Warcraft III: Reforged campaign soon (minus the Rexxar campaign, because bleh). Once that’s done, I was thinking of maybe checking out Wolcen, but it’s also possible I may just end up playing Star Trek Online.

Bonus question: A slice of toast with peanut butter. Real peanut butter, not that processed garbage. You know what the ingredients for good peanut butter are? Peanuts, and nothing else!

Patron Pierre: I don’t have a lot of time for gaming this weekend so I will focus my gaming time on my playthrough of The Last of Us. Did I already mention here that this game is amazing? If I manage, I will probably play some The Elder Scrolls Online, but it’s very unlikely as I have a very busy weekend.

Bonus question: I’m not really a breakfast eater. Most of the time, I don’t have breakfast at all, especially if I wake up early, my body is not ready to have something to eat so early in the morning. But if and when I have breakfast, it’s mainly cornflakes with milk and some fruits. I love fruits.

And you MOP readers, how is your weekend going to be? And don’t forget to have breakfast!

Every Saturday, join the Massively OP community and staff for What Are You Playing, our roundup of what MMORPGs and other games we’re hoping to play this weekend (with a bonus question or two for our amusement). Tell us what you’re up to! Go off-topic! And don’t forget to have fun!

Back home from a 14 hour hospital visit i’m on quite a lot of medication for the first time for a hell of a illness and my hands aint nowhere near stable enough for painting so i got through all the launch content of FFXIV’s 5.2 patch. Good story, fun enough raid but like most Ruby Weapon takes it, though honestly for normal at least part 1 is visually more simple but a way more enjoyable fight for me.

Today i thought i’d try the new ocean fishing activity. But its one boat. Every 2 hours. Max 24 people.

This is the docks right now, but bare in mid this is the PS4 which hardware limitations means the amount of players you are seeing is less than 5% of how many players are actually there.

I always say XIV has the best fishing in any mmo but sometimes you forget how popular it is till you collect all the fishers in one location on the server :p

Telling my friends who play other mmos ‘people are forming raidgroups to go ocean fishing’ has them so confused.

-Also a friend gifted me some WoW time to play WoW classic with them and while i like it in a ‘this has a level cap, end goals and its never going to make those end goals reundant with a new level cap or something’ completionist with a final goal way we hit lvl.35 as alliance which means stick to a small number of zones or constantly be sent back and forth from places like stonetalon mountains and shimmering flats to the wetlands or booty bay on repeat. 5 levels till mounts, only 20g each after keeping up with our spells so we are going to be hoofing it for a while.

Especially since i remade my OG ret pally all over again. Its a long road ahead for that shiny HORS

generally not fond of fishing but forming groups to go fishing en masse sounds both awesome and hilarious… just missing fishslap-fights

get all better soon, you

Fishing in XIV is actually pretty solid. It is its own class like Paladin or Ninja with its own questlines, gear, quite a few subsystems and you can use fish in cooking, prints for on walls or nowadays keep fish in tanks in your housing like monster hunter world.

The class itself has an actual list of moves like Chum which deletes your last catch from your inventory to increase the chance to proc a rare, Mooch which lets you use your hooked fish as bait for a bigger fish and a ton of different baits for different locations and a fishing log to track it all and now ocean fishing for stuff like shark mounts people are going crazy after.

Compared to most mmos “stand still and click one button to fill a profession bar for maybe a food mat at max level” its a pretty fun downtime job to play. Its actually got people that just play to fish or cook rather than fight and whole communities online dedicated to it and chasing things like the “can only be fished at this time, in this weather after double mooching two high quality catches” Big Fishing. I’m not into it that much but i would still recommend it to anyone playing XIV.

  • Wizards Unite – LAzzzyyyy. But no big events happening right now so I can be lazy. Hoping for warmer weather sooner than later so I can start jogging easily again.
  • Magia Record, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, Another Eden, Magikarp Splash, Alter Ego, Arknights – Dailies/logins.
  • Last Cloudia – Grrr couldn’t clear latest event. Oh well, I can’t take a game that seriously when the devs are so inattentive. They got me for March-April but things will have to really impress me after.
  • SWTOR – We finished Tython :) (and its datacrons). Onto the Fleet and Coruscant. My partner seems to be getting better at this. He’s starting to hit the remaining F2P limitations though – even after I sent some ‘authorizations’ his way – so a subscription, at least to reach Preferred, is likely happening soon.

I’m checking out the Shin Megami Tensei mobile gacha again for the Bayonetta event and because I’ve been on a SMT interest again lately.

Just a free character provided by a temporary event in another game https://youtu.be/ekFRXb3wBIA I think this is the second run of the event.

Little bit of Star Trek Online, little bit of ESO have some bits to finish up before Harrowstorm comes.

As for breakfast, well im not really sure it counts as breakfast for me as I keep irregular hours. 7 am rolls rounds I make breakfast for the fam and myself usually some cereal and a cup of tea and then I head off to sleep.. so what is the first meal of the day for everyone else is typically the last thing I eat in a day lol

I’ll work backwards today. I tend to not have breakfast most mornings. I’m afraid of a rumbly tummy. Not for any real reason anymore – I just do. I can make a pretty killer french toast though and I have this cat food looking thing which is evenly mixed corned beef hash (mary kitchens out of the can or bust) and grits I’m somewhat famous for. It looks and smells like a nightmare but tastes like true Ambrosia. #hobolife

Don’t mess with Chinatown Eliot.

For games I just got back into town after three nights so I’m looking forward oto continuing my adventure in Albion and playing more Nintendo. Probably Mario Odyssey, Zelda and SSBros. For Albion I was enjoying the pace enough that I kicked them a month’s worth of subscription. It’s been worth $11 I am pleased to report. I gave this game an awfully hard time during development. It is nice to see a game that came out on the good side of fun and growth. I usually enjoy being proved wrong in my negative stew.

Cheers all hopefully the weather is nice in your part and there isn’t any Corona lurking beneath a facemask. Stay off of cruise ships.

SWGL this week again. I hit the payload this week with a rare Musty ore spawn and rare loot items in the Mr. Hate raid and was able to outfit my entertainer and medic with capped 60 pt pets and my entertainer has a capped carbine and did the clone armor quest, so I’m speeding right along through content right now. My medic is still low level. Also, hopped into the GCW invasions and going to load up on ent props. SWGL’s facebook teased bonus everything for the anniversary coming up, so hoping that means double experience.

Bonus Question: With little deviation, I’ll have an egg, slice of cheese, bacon or sausage and half a glass of milk. I take insulin, so I keep my carbs down to 30 or less a day, just enough to keep the medicine moving, and the protein and fat moves slower through the body so I don’t need to eat as much later.

Still focused on Wolcen. Cancelled all my MMO Subs, if get bored with Wolcen I’ve got other ARPGs and backlog of RPGs such as Skyrim and Witcher 3. MMOs are stagnant any more, I mean I could still play catch up in a few but I don’t have any real desire to at the moment.

This week: Not much this week.

Also this week: Poking at my newly formed Lyn Assassin in Blade & Soul (which I sure you’ll be hearing more about in the near future)…well it’s more she is poking holes into those targets who are at the business end of her poker. o.O

As well as: I think I cracked some of the Sch’Noz nonsense over in WoW Retail. Only that Corruption appears to be leaking into my frame rate tick (sometimes completely jamming it) and my internet ping of late causing it to explode. /bleh

Bonus Answer: Banana’s, yogurts, cheese, toast & Marmite, apples, orange juice and/or Weetabix.

Have a great week and weekend folks! <3

I have completed Plague Tale: Innocence, earlier this week. So I’m in between games, atm. I’m thinking about picking up an RTS. Stronghold HD, maybe? Or Age of Empires II DE?

Probably I won’t manage to make up my mind before the week end is over, lol, and just spend my free time reading…

Here’s a shot from Plague Tale. I enjoyed the game more than I had expected.

Plague Tale: Innocence is a game I regret buying because of the reason that I bought it: FOMO. There was a fantastic sale on so I bought it, even though I knew I wasn’t really going to play it right away. Now it’s just sitting there on my hard drive, constantly getting shoved to the “I’ll play that one next slot”. And now I’m scared that I might not ever get to it, which sucks because of all the good things I keep hearing about it. I really wish I’d just held off until I knew I was going to give my full attention.

Need to apply some self discipline and work my way through my back catalog.

i still have yet to play it, i got it a few weeks ago in a post christmas catchup sale with the surge 2 and outer worlds but a grimdark plaguecore stealth game feels like you really gotta be in the mood for it.

Wolcen, in offline mode, which still has problems, but not as many as online. Got my SnB character through the story and have started the major campaign, rebuilding Stormfall. The delight of getting one character through the story is that then any others can just opt in to the rebuild campaign and don’t need to go through the story, so they help rebuild the city as they level. Win, win!

Dipping a bit into No Man’s Sky when the whacking and smacking of Wolcen is done for the day.

Bonus: Weekdays, it’s cooked oats and fruit, with a cup of cocoa. Weekends, it’s eggs and whatever else might be good, avocado or cheese and toast, strawberries and the like.

Bonus bonus: It’s February and the cherry trees on my street are in full bloom. The ones outside my window are already leafing out. Pretty soon the sidewalks will be covered with pink windblown blossoms.

Is group content over tuned, my wife and I played up to the flame svanir boss in Act 1 only to wipe on that thing for an hour, normally I one shot this thing in offline mode?

Eventually I said to her, this was fun but we need to stop, I’m getting so pissed off right now that I don’t want to ruin something fun we can do together so we’ll come back to this tomorrow.
