Does Funcom have another game up its sleeve? It appears so, as the Oslo-based developer broadly hinted that it is getting ready to make an announcement next Friday, June 5th, at the IGN Expo.

On Twitter, Funcom pointed fans at the event, saying, “Hmmm, what’s this? Game reveal? Unannounced game? Mark your calendars folks! 5th of June!” The schedule for IGN Expo also notes that the announcement will be made with David Goldfarb of The Outsiders, a studio made up of former EA vets that is based in Sweden. On The Outsiders’ website, the collaboration is mentioned but no details are given.

Funcom has a lot of irons in the fire these days on top of its already-released MMORPGs (such as Secret World Legends), single-player titles (Moons of Madness), and multiplayer games (Conan Exiles). Two upcoming games in particular that we’ve been tracking are the highly anticipated (but less-than-an-MMO) Dune and the multiple-times-delayed OARPG Conan Chop Chop.
