EVE Online kicks off a ton of seasonal events for its icy-themed Winter Nexus

You might not think EVE Online is the type of MMO to get festive for the holidays, but it is! Although this blend of festive is, you know, mostly trying to kill you. This year’s Winter Nexus fun has a big long list of space fun themed around the season in the Northern Hemisphere. To wit:

• Volatile Ice Storms are floating around space now, trying to kill you with combat, hacking, and ice mining sites.
• The Yoiul Festival daily challenges are trying to kill you as you rack up reward points.
• The Chilling Spree will be trying to kill you from December 12th to 24th, but good news, you get to throw snowballs.
• The holiday-bedecked abyssal proving grounds are trying to kill you with a 3v3 and free-for-all format later in the season.

And if you can survive all that and manage to log in 13 days during the season, you’ll be picking up loot in the 13 Days of Nexus event. Have fun storming New Eden!
